Marisa Robinson Beauty Blogger Spotlight The Caryl Edit

Welcome to my new series: Blogger Spotlight where I profile my favourite beauty bloggers and get to know them, their blogging journey, fave products and advice for budding bloggers through a quick Q&A.

This week the blogger spotlight is shining brightly on a talented beauty who not only juggles being a full time mum with blogging, but is an amazing writer who I truly admire. She has a beautiful blog and a gorgeous photography style which you will recognise immediately in your Instagram feed.

Introducing the one and only Caryl from The Caryl Edit.

WHAT'S THE NAME OF YOUR BLOG AND IS THERE A STORY BEHIND THE NAME?
My blog name is The Caryl Edit. There really isn’t a story about this name, but I was basically unhappy with my blog name and theme layout for the longest time that the name sounded fitting. I used to go by my full name and then thought that people could assume I was aspiring to become a makeup artist - which I am not. So I reserved my identity for my future writing projects instead.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN BLOGGING?
I have been blogging since January 2013 part time-ish.

WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN YOU'RE NOT BLOGGING?
I am a full time mum to my son who is 2 years old. I am also a freelance writer, I write contemporary romance stories on the side, which began as a hobby while I was wrapping up my uni degree. Then I wrote my first romance eBook novel in 2014. Other than writing, I spend my time with my little family and see friends from time to time.

My blog was recently featured on the Fashion Observer Magazine’s Blogger Love series (issue 13). It is really nice to be recognised for what I do as a beauty blogger. I appreciate the opportunities that has come my way and I am happy to be part of a large beauty community.
