Believe The Hype: Empassion Natural Skincare Review

Marisa Robinson Beauty Blogger Empassion Natural Review

Since commencing chemotherapy for bowel cancer last year (which was successfully removed and treatment is being taken as a precaution and I only have a couple of months left to go, YAY!) I have become more aware of the food I put in my body as well as the products I apply to my skin.

But thanks to a wide range or natural and organic skincare on the market I have a lot of options which is perfect as my skin has become quite sensitive.

The Empassion Natural range is an Australian natural skin, hair care and aromatherapy brand which uses plant derived ingredients with no harsh chemicals, ticking all the boxes of what I am looking for in my skincare. Their range of products start from $4.95 which is such great value and makes their products affordable for you and your family.

I was kindly gifted some of their products and in this post I will share my thoughts and first impressions.

LAVENDER FOAMING CLEANSER

Using a facial cleanser is a key part to my skincare routine and I keep one in the shower at all times to use morning and night. Not only does it clean the skin and rid it of any excess makeup but it helps to nourish and hydrate.

Before I share my first impressions on the Lavender Foaming Cleanser here is some information from the Empassion Natural website:

Foaming Cleanser dispenses a soft but rich foam that is mild enough to use as a daily cleanser yet powerful enough to remove the most intense make up.

Super Food Enriched with:
Wheatgrass Extract, Goji Berry Extract, Pomegranate Extract, Garcinia Mangosteen Extract, Echinacea Extract, Kakadu Plum Extract

Suitable For: Normal to Oily Skin

MY THOUGHTS + FIRST IMPRESSIONS:
The Empassion Natural Foaming Cleanser comes in a 125ml pump action bottle which is the perfect size for the shower caddy. Before I dispense a couple of pumps into the palm of my hand I like to give it a gentle shake to activate all the gorgeous, natural ingredients.

The formula is white, soft and fluffy like little marshmallow puffs and a couple of pumps is all you will need to cleanse your face and neck. Before applying to my face and neck I like to rub the cleanser between my hands and work it into a thick lather. It has a lovely lavender scent, which is subtle and not overpowering - I imagine it would be what a beautiful lavender field smells like.

Once massaged onto my face or neck I leave it a minute and then rinse off with warm water. My skin instantly feels clean and nourished and I gently pat dry with a towel.

I am really enjoying the Empassion Natural Foaming Cleanser and it is available online for only $11.95 and comes in other scents such as pink grapefruit, citrus and a mens version made with a fresh Lemon, Lime & Bitters essential oil blend.

LAVENDER & YLANG YLANG SCENTED MIST

I am a huge fan of facial mists and use them at least 2-3 times a day to hydrate and refresh the skin.

Before I share my first impressions on the Lavender Scented Mist here is some information from the Empassion Natural website:

This is an beautiful Scented Mist which can be used as a face hydration boost, a body perfume or even the perfect way to add that beautiful natural scent for your pillows. Made with pure essential oils it’s made with the real thing… no synthetic fragrances here!

Super Food Enriched with:
Wheatgrass Extract, Goji Berry Extract, Pomegranate Extract, Garcinia Mangosteen Extract, Echinacea Extract, Kakadu Plum Extract

Suitable For: all skin types

MY THOUGHTS + FIRST IMPRESSIONS:
The Empassion Natural Lavender and Ylang Ylang Scented Mist comes in a 125ml spray bottle and fits comfortably into the palm of your hand. What I love most about this is the soft gentle mist which instantly gives your skin a boost of hydration and the subtle scent lingers and acts as a great body fragrance.

As directed I have also been spritzing this multi-purpose mist on my pillow to help give me a relaxing nights sleep. I also spray it after I have cleansed my face.

I love lavender scented skincare so this mist is the perfect addition to my collection which I will continue to use on the daily. You can purchase the Empassion Natural Scented Mist online for only $14.95.

AROMATHERAPY - ESSENTIAL OILS

Marisa Robinson Beauty Blogger Empassion Natural Review

PEPPERMINT + CYPRUS

For years essential oils were used to cure diseases, relieve symptoms and help people feel better after long illnesses. As you can imagine I have done a lot of reading on different alternate treatment options available and aromatherapy and essential oils has come up many times so I was curious to give it a go.

You can use essential oils in a couple of ways. Either by applying them directly to the skin (sometimes a carrier oil is also required) or inhale them via a diffuser. The two oils I have been trying are Peppermint and Cypress.

Radiation is known to damage your skin and I have personally been experiencing peeling skin on my hands and feet and also a burning sensation which only ice packs seems to relieve. Peppermint is an essential oil which can help reduce skin damage when diluted with a carrier oil (such as olive oil or coconut oil) and massaged into the affected area. The reason you mix them with a carrier oil is so it helps your body absorb the essential oils properly.

While chemotherapy is effective for destroying cancer cells unfortunately it also breaks down good blood cells and lowers your immune system making you more susceptible to getting sick. Cypress is an essential oil which can help rebuild white blood cells by being applied directly to skin, inhaled or taken orally.

I hope you enjoyed this post and my first impressions of the Empassion Natural Skincare range. Let me know in the comments below what your go-to natural skincare products are.
