Get The Look: Beauty Killer Pt.2

It's a typical Friday night, my face is beat, my highlight is shining to the heavens and I am preparing to enjoy a big night out on the... lounge! I always seem to do my best work when I am just playing with my makeup collection but I am loving this super glam look I created using some fabulous new products as well as some old favourites!

BASE
Hydrate the skin using Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist and then apply Too Faced Primed and Poreless Smoothing Face Primer to the entire face to create a smooth base and to reduce any visible pores. Prep the lips using the Jeffree Star Velour Lip Scrub (my fave flavour is Mojito) and lip balm to make them soft and smooth.

Dot Urban Decay Naked Foundation onto the face and blend with a damp Beautyblender

Conceal and brighten under the eyes using the it Cosmetics 'Eyelift In A Tube', starting with 'Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer' to get rid of any dark circles and then follow with 'Hello Light Liquid Brightener' to brighten under the eyes and the high points of the face (down the bridge of the nose, centre of the chin and forehead) blending both using a damp Beautyblender

Once done, set the eyes and face using the Laura Mercier Loose Translucent Setting Powder.

Contour and add warmth to the face with the Benefit Cosmetics 'Hoola' Bronzer and add a peachy glow to the apples of the cheeks using NARS 'Lustre' Blush.

Using a fan brush highlight the tops of the cheekbones, cupids bow, bridge of the nose and brow bone with Jeffree Star's 'Peach Goddess' Skin Frost.

BROWS
Last week I attended the Benefit Cosmetics Event to celebrate the launch of their exciting new brow collection! The new products will be available in Australia from Friday 22nd July 2016 but I was lucky enough to take some of them home to put to the test! I will have a more in depth blog post on the new collection coming soon but I have listed the products used for this look below.

Comb your natural brow hairs into shape using the spoolie brush on the Benefit Cosmetics Goof Proof Eyebrow Pencil. Once done turn it around and fill in your brows using the pencil at the opposite end (I used shade 3 - medium), combing through with the spoolie brush to blend.

To further define and get my brows on point, I used the Benefit Cosmetics ka-Brow Eyebrow Cream Gel Colour (in shade 4 - medium) using the built in brush and feathering at the centre and creating a sharp tail at each end.

To add some volume and hold any natural brow hairs in place, I lightly applied the Benefit Cosmetics Gimme Brow Volumizing Eyebrow Gel (also in shade 3 - medium).

EYES
For my eyes I used shades from the Jeffree Star 'Beauty Killer' Eyeshadow Palette (I will list the shadow names below) but feel free to use your favourite eyeshadows to create this look. To create a guide for my sharp wing liner and also catch any shadow fall out I placed Shadow Shields under each eye prior to applying eyeshadow.

Apply a neutral matte nude shade (I used 'China White') to the eyelids to create a smooth base.

With a fluffy blending brush, apply a taupe matte shadow into the crease (I used 'Vanity'). Go back and forth in a fast, light handed motion to blend and create a transition shade.

Once done, pick up a black shadow (I used 'Black Rainbow') and apply it to the outer corner of the mobile lid to add some depth before applying a purple shadow (I used 'Violence') over the entire lid, working it up into the crease. Then with a clean fluffy brush lightly blend to fuse the shades on the lid together and to soften any harsh lines.

Then from the centre of the mobile lid to the inner corner use a flat brush to pack on a shimmery lilac shadow (I used 'Princess').

Line the upper lash line and create a winged line using Sephora Liquid Liner and once dry, lightly pack a matte black shadow over the top to create a matte, black liner look.

For the lower lash line, I used a smudger brush and applied a teal shadow (I used 'Expensive') from the tip of the winged liner bringing it in towards the inner corner of the eye. Using the same smudger brush I then picked up more of the same black shadow and applied it to the lower outer corner of the eye, connecting it to the liner on the upper outer corner. Then lightly blend over the top of both shades with a soft pencil brush brush to smoke it out.

To add a glisten and highlight the inner corner of the eye I applied Jeffree Star's 'Peach Goddess' Skin Frost using the tip of a pencil brush.

Coat the lashes with the Too Faced 'Better Than Sex' Mascara before applying a glam set of Model Rock lashes (mine were from a 'Paint The Town Red' lash pack) to add some lash drama! Then apply a second coat of mascara to fuse the false lashes with your natural lashes. To define the lash line and hide the lash band, sweep the Sephora Liquid Liner over the top lash line.

LIPS
At the start of this makeup look we prepped the lips using a lip scrub and balm so your lips should now be soft and smooth and ready for liquid lipstick!

For this look I used the Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick in 'Mannequin' over the entire top and bottom lip and then highlighted the centre of the lips using Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick in 'I'm Nude' for the perfect nude pout!
