Top 15 of 2015

2015 you gorgeous year you!

As I count down the final hours of 2015 I think of all the makeup milestones I have achieved this year. Doing makeup at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia, Beauty Blogging for City Chic, making up beautiful brides and continuing to push myself to be the best MUA I can be.

And I couldn't have done it without the help from my favourite beauty products.

In this post I share my top 15 products of 2015 which have been staples in my kit as well as personal favourites I use on the daily.

1. Becca Cosmetics X Jaclyn Hill Champagne Pop Highlighter
I can guarantee this must have highlighter was a favourite for many this year. It is pure perfection! I like to lightly apply it with a fan brush to the tops of my cheekbones, cupids bow and brow bone for that on fleek feeling!

2. Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz
Your brows frame your whole face and if not done properly can make or break your whole look, but with the ABH Brow Wiz you are guaranteed to have beautiful brows. With a spooley on one end and an ultra thin mechanical pencil on the other it can tame and frame the most unruly brows!

3. Kat Von D Shade and Light Contour Palette
Contouring and highlighting was one of 2015's biggest makeup trends and the KVD Shade and Light Contour Palette was a popular choice amongst artists! When applied with an angled contour brush this formula perfectly sculpts the face without leaving you looking muddy and the highlight shades are perfect for brightening under the eyes too!

4. Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara
I was quite skeptical of this mascara when I saw the tester in store. It always looked a little clumpy and messy. But looks can be VERY deceiving and this has become my holy-grail mascara! The hourglass shaped wand creates long, voluminous lashes and gets right from the root of the lash to the tip, creating perfectly curled lashes!

5. Morphe Brushes
I was lucky enough to visit the Morphe Brushes store during my recent trip to America and the only way I can describe it is makeup brush heaven! They have EVERY brush you can imagine and their affordable prices make them irresistible! My favourite range would have to be the Flawless Collection and their super pigmented eyeshadow palettes are a must buy too!

6. Makeup Forever Ultra HD Foundation
I only discovered the MUFE HD Foundation range this year and I have used it every day since. With a great selection of shades available it provides a perfect coverage while not feeling heavy on the skin!

7. Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer
Dark eye circles? Not anymore! This concealer provides a complete coverage and the flexible wand makes application easy!

8. Ardell Demi Wispies Lashes
No dramatic eye look is complete without these babies! The thin lash band makes application easy and they are so light you don't even feel like you are wearing them!

9. Mac Rose Scented Fix+
I have always been a big fan of Mac's Fix+ and carry the travel size in my bag and full size in my kit. It perfectly sets your makeup and provides a refreshing spritz during the day. So when the scented range was released I had to get them all but the Rose was by far my favourite.

10. Sephora Radiant Luminizing Drops
Simply add a couple of drops to your favourite foundation or moisturiser for an instant summer glow!

11. Beauty Blender
Foundation application, baking, concealer setting - there is nothing the Original Beauty Blender can't do to give you the most flawless finish of life!

12. Kat Von D Tattoo Liner
Mastering winged eyeliner has never been easier thanks to the KVD Tattoo Liner. I'm not sure if it is the pen shaped casing or precision tip but it glides on like a dream!

13. MAC Cosmetics Prep + Prime Translucent Finishing Powder
This is a must have to set a flawless foundation and concealer for a long lasting finish. I love using this on a small setting brush under my eyes and it doesn't cause flashback!

14. Cinema Secrets Brush Cleaner
When they said 'World's Best Brush Cleaner' they weren't kidding! I picked up a bottle in New York and no other brush cleaner even compares to this. Simply dip the brush into the solution, wipe and the brush is clean and sanitised!

15. Makeup Forever Step 1 Redness Correcting Primer
I have naturally rosie cheeks and the MUFE Redness Correcting Primer knocks back the redness so well you wouldn't even know it was there! It sits beautifully on the skin and when combined with the MUFE Ultra HD Foundation is a match made in heaven!
